Dub the Vote

2024-25 NBA All-Star Voting

My Role:

As the marketing manager, my role for this campaign was to write a brief identifying the brand truths and key insights, then execute cross-functionally across channel owners, design, and Warriors Studio to launch the annual Dub the Vote campaign for the 2024-25 NBA All-Star Game.

Objective:

Develop content that encourages the Warriors fanbase to vote their favorite players into the 205 All-Star Weekend.

Key Insight:

All-Star Voting is about engaging fans and making voting fun. The goal is to tell why our Dubs should be in the All-Star game this year by developing organic content that showcases the success and personality of each Warrior.

Brand Truths:

  • The Warriors have a global fan base; this is an opportunity for them to be involved in the team's outcome. DTV must produce engaging, organic content that resonates with all fans.

  • The Warriors play with tenacious joy; the energy they bring to the court is unmatched. There is a glimmer in the eyes of each player that is playful, competitive, and eager to represent the team at All-Star weekend.

  • The Dub the Vote campaign will promote 6 players: Stephen, Klay, Draymond, Wiggins, CP3, and Kevon. 4 players are previous Warriors All-Stars; if Kevon is voted in, it will be his first-ever All-Star appearance. If CP3 is voted in, it will be his first All-Star appearance as a Warrior.

Strategy:

Capitalize on 3-for1 voting days, incorporate content that aligns with Google Cloud’s focus on analytics, and create engaging content that encourages fans to vote their favorite Dubs into All-Star Weekend. To measure this campaign’s success, the front office goal is to have at least 1 player voted into the game.
